1. 大学英语听力教学的重要性和必要性

众所周知,大学英语是大学生的必修基础课程,它的教学目标是培养学生的英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力,而大学英语听力教学正是为实现这个目标服务,因此就成为了大学英语教学的一个重要组成部分。

听力是理解和吸收口头信息的交际能力,提高听力不仅有利于说、读、写三项技能的发展,而且为开展日常交际打下坚实的基础。所以大学英语听力教学在整个大学英语教学体系中起着基础的作用。

教育部在《大学英语课程教学要求》中规定大学阶段的英语教学要求分为三个层次:一般要求、较高要求和更高要求。其中一般要求是每个大学毕业生必须达到的目标,它对于听力理解能力的规定如下:能听懂英语授课,能听懂日常英语谈话和一般性题材讲座,能基本听懂慢速英语节目,语速为每分钟130词左右,能掌握其中心大意,抓住要点,能运用基本的听力技巧帮助理解。

规定落实到具体的表现就是大学英语四六级考试的显著变化。
